This Privacy Notice explain how Mahyu.com LLC, its various subsidiaries, affiliates, associated businesses, and jointly controlled entities (collectively, "Mahyu.com", "we", "us", or "our") collect, use, process, and disclose your Personal Data when you use Mahyu.com's websites and mobile applications (respectively, "Apps" and "Websites"), as well as other features, goods, and services offered.
This Privacy Notice applies to our customers, agents, vendors, suppliers, partners (such as driver, delivery, and merchant partners), contractors, and service providers (collectively "you", "your" or "yours").
Personal data is defined as any information that can be used to identify you or from which you can be identified. Name, nationality, telephone number, bank and credit card details, personal interests, email address, image, government-issued identification numbers, biometric data, race, date of birth, marital status, religion, health information, vehicle and insurance information, employment information, and financial information are all examples.
We typically collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process your Personal Data with your consent or in accordance with applicable laws, such as where:
- it is necessary for us to comply with legal requirements;
- it is necessary for us to enter into or perform a contract with you; and/or
- it is necessary for our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of any other persons, including but not limited to the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice.
I. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION
The ways listed below are how we obtain (and may combine) personal information about you:
When you provide your Personal Data to us
We collect your Personal Data when you provide it to us. For example, when you:
- provide information to assess your eligibility to provide services as a Mahyu.com driver partner or delivery partner (such as your driver's license information, vehicle information, and background check results);
- complete a user profile or shipper registration forms (such as your name, contact information, and other identification information where needed);
- engage with our social media pages (including sharing your social media account ID, profile picture, and any other information that is publicly accessible);
- take part in any of our contests or events (you may enter photos, audio, or video entries, some of which may contain your own likeness);
- confirm your identity using a variety of methods (such as independently verified payment card information, social media logins, or selfie submissions);
- fill up demographic information in surveys (such as your age, gender, and other information you may volunteer such as your marital status, occupation and income information); and
When using our services
Personal Data may be collected through the normal operation or use of our Apps, Websites and Services. Some examples are:
- your location information;
- feedback, ratings and compliments;
- transaction information (such as payment method);
- information about how you interacted with our Apps, Website or Services (such as features used and content viewed);
- device information (such as hardware model and serial number, IP addresses), file and app names and versions, GPS location, IMEI number, and advertising identifiers or any information that may indicate device or app modification);
- personal data you enter in messages when you use our in-app communication features; and
- personal data that may be captured through your interaction with us, our agents, in-vehicle audio and/or video recording during a ride (such as your image or voice or both, and its related metadata).
Please be aware that some Mahyu.com partners may install personal in-vehicle applications or devices in their cars for their own needs, which could lead to them collecting your Personal Data while you use our Service. Mahyu.com neither endorses nor forbids this practice, and the relevant partner is in charge of collecting, using, and disclosing Personal Data obtained from individual in-vehicle applications or devices. If you have any concerns about a partner's use of personal in-vehicle applications or devices, kindly check with that partner.
From other sources
When we collect Personal Data from other sources, including but not limited to your name, contact information, and other identification information. Sources such as these include:
- referral programmes;
- our business partners, such as fleet partners, payment providers, and transport partners;
- insurance and financial providers;
- credit bureaus, alternative credit scoring agencies and any other credit reporting organizations;
- publicly available or governmental sources of data;
- when our users add you as an emergency contact;
- when our users add you as a recipient or beneficiary of any use of our Services;
- when you use our in-app chat; and
- marketing services providers or partners.
Sensitive Personal Data
Some of the Personal Data we gather can be of a sensitive nature. This could involve Personal Data on your race, national ID details, religious preferences, background details (such financial and criminal histories, if allowed by law), health information, disability information, marital status information, and biometric data, as appropriate. Only with your permission and/or strictly in accordance with the rules that are in place do we collect sensitive Personal Data. You agree to redact any sensitive Personal Data before supplying any paperwork or information to us if you are obliged to do so for any purpose and that purpose may require you to provide us with documentation or information that may contain such sensitive Personal Data.
When you provide Personal Data of other individuals to us
In some cases, you may give us with Personal Data about other people (for example, your spouse, family members, or friends). For example, you may add them as an emergency contact, when you utilize the in-app chat, or when you add them as recipients or beneficiaries of any use of our Services. If you supply us with their Personal Data, you represent and warrant that you have acquired their consent for their Personal Data to be collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
Personal Data of minors
Please do not let minors in your care to submit Personal Data to Mahyu.com if you are their parent or legal guardian. If Mahyu.com is provided with the Personal Data of a minor, you hereby agree to the processing of that minor's Personal Data, accept and agree to be governed by this Notice, and take responsibility for that minor's activities.
II. PERSONAL DATA USAGE
Your Personal Data may be used by Mahyu.com for the reasons listed below. (“Purposes”). Furthermore, if you use Mahyu.com in multiple capacities (for instance, if you use multiple Mahyu.com Services or are both a driver partner/delivery partner and a customer), we may link your Personal Data collected in each of those capacities to make it easier for you to use our Services and for the purposes listed below:
Providing services and features
We will use your Personal Data to offer, personalize, maintain, and improve our Apps, Websites, and Services. This includes the use of your Personal Data to:
- engage you to provide you with Services across our many business verticals;
- create, administer and update your account;
- process, manage or verify your eligibility for or application of Services, promotions, rewards and subscriptions with Mahyu.com;
- do due diligence checks and risk assessments/analysis;
- validate your identity and age (as needed);
- validate your delivery and process payments;
- offer, obtain, provide, facilitate or maintain insurance or financing solutions;
- track the progress of your shipment or detect abnormal trip variations;
- perform internal operations necessary to provide our Services, including troubleshooting software bugs and operational problems, conducting data analysis, testing and research, monitoring and analysing usage and activity trends;
- protect the security or integrity of the Services and any facilities or equipment used to make the Services available;
- enable communications between our users
- invite you to participate in our surveys and studies;
- enable our partners to manage and allocate fleet resources; and
- provide services to you as a data processor when you have provided consent to the data controller (i.e. the organization from which you purchased goods or services and for whom Mahyu.com is providing services) for such services to be rendered.
Safety and security
We use your data to ensure the safety and security of our Services and all users. This includes:
- screening driver and delivery partners before enabling their use of our Services;
- verifying your identity when you log in to Mahyu.com;
- using device, location, profile, usage and other Personal Data to prevent, detect and combat fraud or unsafe activities;
- sharing drivers and driver partners’ location and details; and
- monitoring compliance with our terms and conditions and policies.
User support
We use Personal Data to resolve user support issues. For example, we may:
- investigate and address concerns;
- monitor and improve our user support responses;
- respond to questions, comments and feedback; and
- inform you about steps taken to resolve user support issues.
Research and development and security
We might utilize the Personal Data we gather for product development, research, analysis, and testing. This enables us to comprehend and analyze your needs and preferences, safeguard your Personal Data, better the safety and security of our Services, develop new features, products, and services, and speed up the creation of insurance and financial solutions.
Legal purposes
We may use the Personal Data we collect for legal purposes, such as to investigate and resolve claims or disputes, detect/prevent/prosecute crime, or as allowed or required by applicable law.

- send you alerts, newsletters, updates, mailers, promotional materials, special privileges, festive greetings; and
- notify, invite and manage your participation in our events or activities.
We may communicate such marketing to you by various means, where applicable (including by SMS, chat applications (e.g. WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Viber, WeChat), push notification, call, and by email).
Please click the unsubscribe link in the appropriate email or message if you desire to stop receiving these marketing communications. Instead, you may modify your options in the settings for our Apps. Please be aware that even if you choose not to receive marketing or promotional communications, Mahyu.com may nevertheless send you messages about your account's services (such as information on your transactions, rewards, etc.).
User Published Content
When you post content (like a review or remark) on Mahyu.com's platform, together with your personal information (such your profile name, any uploaded photos, and other details you decide to put in your content), it will be seen by everyone.
III. PERSONAL DATA DISCLOSURE
We need to share Personal Data with various parties for the Purposes. These parties include:
Other users
For example:
- If you are a shipper, we may share your username, pick-up and drop-off locations with our driver transporter / partner fulfilling your Service request;
- If you are a driver partner, we may share your Personal Data with your shipper including your name and photo; your vehicle make, model, number plate, location and average rating;
- If you are a transporter partner, we may share your Personal Data with your selected merchant and user, including your name and photo; your vehicle make, model, location and average rating; and
- If you use our in-app chat, we may share your mobile number and Mahyu.com-registered name with the other parties to your chat.
With third parties
With third parties related to your use of Mahyu.com Services
For example:
- If you are a transporter, we may share your vehicle’s location and driver’s and/or your name with third parties
- If you are a transporter, we may disclose your vehicle plate number or other personal data to the insurance company and/or to your passenger for the purpose of submission of insurance claims.
With subsidiaries and affiliates
Personal Data is shared with our subsidiaries, affiliated firms, jointly managed entities, and affiliates. The Mahyu.com group companies share resources, such as infrastructure and technology, to offer you with a consistent, relevant, and secure experience when you use our Services, as well as for the Purposes set out in this Privacy Notice.
When you sign up for a new Mahyu.com service, for instance, your registration information may be automatically filled out based on your use of another Mahyu.com service. This is done, for example, to improve the seamlessness of your experience.
With Mahyu.com’s service providers and business partners
We may provide Personal Data to our vendors, consultants, marketing partners, research firms, and other service providers or business partners. This includes:
- payment processors and facilitators;
- debt collectors;
- credit bureaus, alternative credit scoring agencies and any other credit reporting organizations;
- background check and anti-money laundering service providers;
- cloud storage providers;
- advertising and marketing partners and platform providers;
- data analytics providers;
- research partners, including those performing surveys or research projects in partnership with Mahyu.com or on Mahyu.com’s behalf;
- educational and training institute partners;
- fleet and merchant partners;
- insurance and financing partners;
- third party intermediaries involved in the managed investment of funds, such as brokers, asset managers, and custodians;
- service providers who perform identity verification services; and
- vehicle solutions partners, vendors or third-party vehicle suppliers.
For example:
- If you requested a service through a Mahyu.com partner or used a promotion provided by a Mahyu.com partner, Mahyu.com may share your Personal Data with that Mahyu.com partner.
With our legal advisors and governmental authorities
Your Personal Data might be disclosed to our legal counsel, law enforcement personnel, governmental agencies, and other third parties. This could happen to fulfill the above-mentioned legal purposes or in any of the following situations:
- where it is necessary to respond to an emergency that threatens the life, health or safety of a person; or
- where it is necessary in the public interest (e.g. in a public health crisis, for contact tracing purposes and safeguarding our community).
Business transfers
In connection with any acquisitions, sales, mergers, joint ventures, consolidation, restructuring, financing, or other type of business transaction, we may share your personal information with third parties. Nonetheless, we shall continue to be bound by the provisions of any previously signed privacy notice when it comes to your personal data.
IV. PERSONAL DATA RETENTION

It's possible for third parties to link the personal information they gather with personal information they already have about you from other sources. The Cookies they employ may not always be under our control or access.
Disabling the collection of cookies on our websites
You have the right to decide whether to allow, restrict, or deactivate cookies. Please be aware that blocking or deleting some cookies may impact the accessibility, usability, or use of our website, services, or apps.

Disabling the display of Targeted Ads through our App
We may facilitate the display of tailored advertising on other platforms, such as other online platforms that you may use.
By updating your preferences through the Apps, you may be able to limit our use of your Personal Data to display targeted adverts on behalf of our advertisers. You may be able to disable our use of mobile identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Google's GAID) and the ability to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies by adjusting the settings available on your mobile devices, depending on the type of phone and operating software you are using. We will not utilize your Personal Data to display you such customized adverts on other platforms, although you may receive generic ads that appear relevant to you. This could be because we've hired third-party marketers / platforms to show advertising to people with specific characteristics or demographic makeups who might find them interesting. You may be able to limit seeing these advertising through modifying your choices on these platforms.
